About KRISTINE VEJAR
On May 6, Kristine Vejar of A Verb for Keeping Warm will present her Journeys in Natural Dyeing.
Step into the whirlwind world of A Verb for Keeping Warm! In this presentation, you will go behind the scenes of AVFKW’s Oakland-based natural dyeing studio, travel the world to trace the lineage of how natural dyes have been used historically, be introduced to their books The Modern Natural Dyer and Journeys in Natural Dyeing, get a glimpse into how they have worked with California-grown wool, as well as see examples of shawls, sweaters and more knit with AVFKW yarn via their creative collaborations with knitwear designers from around the world.
A Verb for Keeping Warm Trunk Show
Following the Guild business meeting, Kristine will have an array of AVFKW yarns to entice and delight! Including everything from Floating, an alpaca-silk-cashmere blend, to Annapurna, a merino-cashmere blend, and more! Kristine will also have an array of gorgeous hand knit samples so you can see the yarns and colorways knit.
