Other Events and Items of Interest:
Podcasts to Knit To – As requested recently by a Guild member, here is Nancy Nevin’s article from last year What is Your Favorite Knitting Podcast? Email Nancy with your favorite podcast, and we’ll post them here in future News Briefs.
Quilting Enthusiasts – Frequently we receive invites or tickets to quilting events throughout the SoCal region. That is because our Guild is a member of the Southern California Council of Quilt Guilds through which our insurance is obtained. To learn about these quilting events, visit our Ravelry group and check out the thread called “Quilting Enthusiasts”. Unfortunately, many planned events have been canceled or postponed.
Visions Art Museum – Do you know about Visions? It’s a great quilt and textile museum in Liberty Station. While its focus is largely on art quilts, there have been other fiber art exhibits, including lace, knitting, and crochet. Find them on the web at VisionsArtMuseum.org.
The San Diego County Fair – Update – as you probably have already heard, the 2020 San Diego County Fair has been postponed until 2021. Details on the Fair’s website.
Have information about events around the county which may be of interest to Guild members? Contact the Webmaster@SanDiegoKnitters.com.
