San Diego North Coast Knitters Guild

Who We Are

The San Diego North Coast Knitters Guild is a welcoming community for knitters  and fiber enthusiasts of all skill levels.
We are committed to stimulating, motivating, and inspiring people to knit. Through monthly programs, classes, workshops, retreats, and informal gatherings, we create an informative and supportive environment for all members.

What We Do

Through a rich calendar of activities, we offer members many opportunities to learn, share, and celebrate the art of knitting.

  • Monthly Meetings: Our general meetings often feature guest speakers, demonstrations, show-and-share sessions, and community updates. Members gather to learn new techniques, explore trends, and enjoy the camaraderie of fellow knitters.

  • Workshops & Classes: We regularly host workshops with nationally and internationally known instructors who help members expand their skills and creativity.

  • Informal Knitting Groups: Smaller social knitting groups meet throughout the area for relaxed, friendly stitching and conversation.

  • Retreats: Twice a year, members can attend knitting retreats — the perfect chance to unwind, connect, and enjoy uninterrupted knitting time in beautiful surroundings.

  • Philanthropy: Giving back is part of our mission. Members knit for local charities, shelters, and hospitals, providing warmth and comfort to those in need.

  • Stash Sales: We host fundraisers where members donate yarn and supplies — a fun way to declutter and discover new treasures.

  • Holiday Luncheon: Our annual holiday luncheon is a highlight of the year — a joyful celebration filled with friendship, creativity, and community spirit.

  • Library:  Our library offers members free access to a wide selection of knitting books, including pattern collections for all skill levels.
