Stash Sale and Updated Donation Information.

If the schedule does not change the Annual Guild Stash Sale will take place June 2, 2020. With the cancellation of the April meeting I am willing to pick up yarn on request. The last two months of collecting are usually the biggest donation months and in hopes of not losing momentum I am willing to make the rounds! More yarn is needed in order to have a sale that is as successful as past years. The May Guild Meeting will be the last meeting to donate anything knitting related: yarn, tools and equipment, finished objects, unfinished objects, project bags, and books (not magazines). Please keep multiple skeins together when donating to make sorting easier. Magazines can be brought to the meetings for the “freebie” table.
Credit cards are accepted by the Guild now so you can use your plastic at the sale (the credit card processing fee will be added to the purchase price). Cash and checks are still accepted. The Stash Sale is an important fundraiser for the guild with DEEPLY, DEEPLY discounted prices!
This year “By The Bag” is being replaced with a “$1.00” bargain table which will be the place to find partials and interesting oddments!
Another BIG change this year is a “1/2 Price Garage Sale” taking place June 6 (the following Saturday). That’s right – anything left over from the sale will be half price on Saturday!! The garage sale will be held at Renate Kamm’s home. In order to keep member’s information private, her address will not be published in the newsletter but can be found in the directory. You can also contact me. Let’s keep our fingers crossed for a June sale!
Volunteers are needed to help with preparations before and at the sale. I need a few more cashiers, cashier assistants to tally for cashiers, transporters for getting yarn to the temple and set-up/clean up. If you wish to volunteer, you can contact Stash Sale Coordinator Lou Wanna Katz at StashSale@sandiegoknitters.com and let me know you can help! Thank you to those that have already volunteered.
If you would rather arrange a drop off, I live off I-5 and Leucadia Blvd. Contact me!
