May 4 – Olga Buraya-Kefelian Visits the Guild Virtually

March 8, 2021

About Olga Buraya-Kefelian

Moko Moko Cowl

Olga was taught to knit at the age of four by her mother, a professional seamstress, from whom she acquired her understanding of clothing construction. This understanding became more intuitive and helped Olga create imaginative, yet versatile knitwear. Her knitting career began in 2003 while traveling the world with her spouse and his military career. Olga discovered numerous sources of inspiration and began to explore it through the medium of yarn and knitting.

In 2006, the Olgajazzy brand was conceived as a line for trendy and ultimately wearable knitwear. Drawing her inspiration from industrial and architectural fields, Olga has combined these features with her passion for European and Japanese design to create knitwear designs infused with innovation. Always seeking to develop new ways to incorporate knitwear in these modern times, Olga developed the TRANSFORMS. The designs offer a myriad of styles. Whether a garment or an accessory, the patterns are carefully thought out and the end products are unique, innovative and functional.

As a contributing designer, author and co-author of numerous titles, the professional quality of written patterns is a recognizable feature of the Olgajazzy brand and encapsulates the exceptional standards of excellence applied across all areas of the brand.

Find more information about Olga and her designs on Ravelry, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Links to these sites can be found on Olga’s Ravelry page, along with a sign up for her newsletter. To see a preview of Olga, watch Episode 86 on Fruity Knitting.

Olga will be teaching four workshops – only $30 per workshop for members!
Click on a title for details about an individual workshop and how to register.

NOTE: All workshops can be taken independently of each other. All the skills needed to complete the project(s) illustrated or linked to will be covered in each class. So choose a final project you’d like to do and enroll in that class, or take them all to build a variety of skills and enhance your approach to creativity!
