In Case You Missed It… November Program Recap

In Case You Missed it – Simone Kereit’s Visit to the Guild

Simone Kereit

Our November speaker, Simone Kereit, was an enthusiastic, personable, and entertaining guest. Her lecture on yarn substitution was extremely detailed and informative and full of lots of useful tools for substituting both fibers and yarn weights in patterns. Her 2-color brioche and brioche shaping workshops were great introductions to this knitting technique, which has become very popular recently. In addition, she taught a mosaic cowl workshop and a short rows class, both of which are being featured in many current patterns. Simone brought many of her OwlCat Designs to share, along with some items to sell, including beautiful hand-painted pendants she creates.

This was Simone’s first visit to San Diego. Thank you to all our members who helped to entertain Simone and make her feel so welcome to our guild and to introduce her to our community, in general.
