Trendsetter Warehouse Field Trip

Trendsetter Warehouse Field Trip Hosted by Barry Klein

In Barry’s words: “As we get closer to celebrating our 35th Anniversary, we continue to look at our warehouse and realize that it is our home. The Trendsetter staff members have been a part of the team for 33 to 25 years. As you will see, our warehouse is organized and looks much like a yarn grocery store. When asked, “Why is it set up like this if you are not open to the public?” The answer is simple, it’s my staff and their love of our yarns.”

At the warehouse, you will have access to 500+ knit samples, all finished to show off every yarn. Given all of their collections, they have hundreds of yarns and thousands of colors.  No store can stock them all. Although Trendsetter offers drop ship to all of their stores, most have their favorite yarns, and they stick with those. Coming to the warehouse gives you a chance to see everything and access to it all.

On the day of the event, the warehouse doors will be opened to guild members at 10:00 am. Upon entry, you will be given a shopping bag, price list and a quick tour of the warehouse. You will then be set free to try things on, touch the yarns, and shop to your hearts content. The doors will close at 2:00 pm.

At 11 AM, Barry will provide a special “sneak peak” at where Trendsetter and Lana Grossa will be going with yarns and designs as they head into 2024.

Drinks, snacks and door prizes will be provided throughout the event. All sales tax will be exempted on October 14th event purchases (Note: This is equivalent to 10% discount).

Discounts:  All sales tax will be exempted on day of purchase (equivalent to 10% discount).

Event Cost:   $15 for members

How to Register: send an email to Willa Cather at Programs AT SanDiegoKnitters DOT com (this is not a clickable email address – you’ll need to change the AT and DOT to appropriate symbols and eliminate any spaces.) Be sure to include your name, the name of the workshop, your email address and a telephone number. Payment is by check made payable to San Diego North Coast Knitters Guild (payee name must be written out in full – our bank will not accept checks with abbreviations.) Checks should be mailed to Willa Cather (address in your Guild Directory.) Your registration is guaranteed upon confirmation of receipt of your payment.

Or register at the meeting registration table on September 5 and October 10.

Cancellation Policy: Please notify us as early as possible if you need to cancel your workshop registration. Refund of the workshop fee requires a cancellation notification at least 48 hours in advance of the workshop. Fees cannot be refunded for cancellations with less than 48 hours advance notice.

Note: Participants are responsible for their own transportation. Car-pooling is highly recommended. Travel time varies depending on your starting point, it is approximately 2 hours from Encinitas.

FYI: We will be conducting two polls during our Zoom meeting on August 1 where we will be asking if folks plan to attend the field trip and if so, their anticipated/preferred mode of transportation.
