Still Seeking 2024 Holiday Luncheon Co-Chairs

Still Seeking 2024 Holiday Luncheon Co-Chairs

Updated  4/5/24

Do you want our annual holiday tradition to continue? Then step up and help out!

This important (and fun!) Guild party needs new leadership. We have a few bases covered, but several more members need to volunteer if we are to have a 2024 Holiday Luncheon.

The following responsibilities are still open. Any of these three task groups could be taken on by an individual or shared by multiple members:

  • Opportunity Drawing (including solicit donations, physically receive shipments, create gift groups, run the raffle)
  • Liaison with venue (confirm meal counts, communicate special meal requests, plan room layouts) – Position now filled.
  • Fashion Show (receive entries, organize into groups, create program and script)

In addition, the Luncheon requires storage space for two stacks of (mostly empty) bins. The Guild rents a larger storage unit for Oct.-Dec., but a small amount of storage is needed year-round.

Work typically begins in late July. Sydnie will pass along donor contact information and other historical resources, remain available for advice as requested, and perform small tasks if needed. A small army of experienced volunteers pitch in on the day of the Luncheon, but we need a strong team to prepare for that day.

If you are interested in taking on any of these responsibilities, please contact Sydnie or any other Board member.

Funds raised by the Opportunity Drawing help our Guild present the fabulous programs and workshops that we all enjoy throughout the year. Come be a part of the team that makes it happen!

After an extensive search, the Board has decided to return to La Valle Coastal Club for 2024. We are discussing limiting attendance to 160 to ensure a comfortable environment for dining and Fashion Show.
