Stash Sale Survey

Stash Sale Update

Stash Sale Spinning Wheel

I am giving a last call and making August 15, 2020, the cutoff for accepting donations. I could use a few clear plastic bags larger than 13“x 16“ (2 gallon size) if anyone has any – the type linens come in are great! I am willing to make pick-ups for plastic bags and knitting related items such as  yarn, tools and equipment, finished objects, unfinished objects, and project bags. Have mask and gloves and can travel for contact free collections! If you wish to arrange a pick-up, contact Stash Sale Coordinator Lou Wanna Katz at StashSale@SanDiegoKnitters.com.

I have received feedback that some members would not be comfortable attending a sale this year. To hold an outdoor sale as currently planned, social distancing rules would apply. Members must wear gloves (due to all the handling), masks, and stay six feet apart. The dates being considered are sometime between November 7-13. If the rules are still in place against gatherings of more than 10, appointment times would be scheduled (like the Black Sheep did) to allow everyone to safely peruse the yarn. If appointments are scheduled, yarn will be continually added throughout the sale to give an equal opportunity for finding something special or a SQ (yes there are several SQ!).

Finding an outdoor space is proving to be a challenge! Temple Solel and San Dieguito United Methodist Church have not responded to my inquiries to use their parking lot. I’ve checked a few parks with covered picnic areas and they are currently not accepting reservations and do not know when they can. If anyone knows of an outdoor space (bonus if they have tables we can borrow), but not a requirement, please let me know.

I am putting up a poll to determine if there is enough interest in holding the sale this year. Donations will be saved for next year if there is not enough interest. Voting will remain open through August 22. Please click the following link to vote. After you make your choice, you must click “Done” to record your vote. To vote, click on Stash Sale Survey

Thank you for voting!
