Volunteers are needed! Watch for upcoming calls for volunteers for the Holiday Luncheon. Carol Myers has thankfully found an assistant to help in scheduling meeting and workshop rooms, so that position is no longer available.

Philanthropy News – is also on vacation. But you can continue to knit away on your donation projects and bring them to the next in-person meeting in October. Check the Philanthropy page for Colleen Luckoff’s plans for donations.
Membership and Directory News – Membership in the Guild runs from February 1 through January 31st. Directories and new name badges were distributed at the April 4th Guild meeting. We had so many late renewals and new members join after the renewal/sign-up cut-off, that Mar Gee Far created and printed a directory update that Nancy handed out at the membership table in July. Contact Nancy if you’d like a copy. Meanwhile, we have a few additional new members listed in the latest Membership News here. Renewal information can always be found here.
The latest Show and Share can be found here. Show and Share is a hybrid! The next in-person meeting won’t be until October, so please send in your photos and descriptions for virtual Show and Share in August and September! Mingei International Museum is open, and has a new cafe! The Mingei is a wonderful museum of arts and crafts, located in Balboa Park. Check it out Mingei.org/whats-on.
Visions Museum of Textile Art – Visions is a great textile museum in Liberty Station. While its focus in the past has been largely on art quilts, this past year the museum expanded its “vision” to include all fiber arts. In recognition of its expanded scope, Visions has renamed itself Visions Museum of Textile Art and now has a new website VMOTA.org Check it out!
