You Won’t Want to Miss the January 9 Stash Sale and Cast-On Party!

January 3, 2024

Additional Information About January’s Special Event

Donated yarn stash.

We have some wonderful yarn at very reduced prices! Due to some major donations from several yarn collections we have something for everyone. Single skeins, large numbers of skeins, plain colors, bright colors, painted and striped. There is every kind of yarn from acrylic, wool, cashmere, Merino wool, bamboo and yak. Truly amazing! Much of the yarn is in plastic bins which is included in the price shown on the container. You may open the container but please don’t mix and match the yarn but purchase the container and yarn as is. We also have a large number of straight and circular needles that will be for sale.

Note:

On the afternoon of the sale on January 9th we are unable to get into the room until 1:15 p.m. It will be challenging to get everything set up by 1:30 p.m. but we are sure going to try!! Please wait outside the room and we will let you know when you can enter. We hope you will shop for yarn on the tables around the perimeter of the room and then enjoy the Cast-On Party at the round tables in the center. There will be experts to help you learn how to establish gauge, select the right yarn, cast on a new project, and learn other practical skills. Come share ideas, enjoy meeting fellow knitters and make new friends. It will be fun!! Location details can be found here.

Our Cast-on Party will include:
  1. Winding Station
  2. Gauge swatch measuring Station
  3. Blocking Station
  4. Mystery yarn forensics Station
  5. Cast on ideas Station
  6. Measurement assistance (no judgement) Station
  7. Instruction translations Station

We would like to remind everyone to bring: an assortment of needle sizes to play with your new yarn. A tablet or laptop to find patterns on Ravelry (ECC has free Wi-Fi) is recommended.

Be sure to bring cash, check and credit cards. You’ll also be able to pay for your 2024 Membership Renewal (save time by bringing your printed and completed renewal form – download here), sign up for February workshops, and check-out library books.

You won’t want to miss this new event! See you there!
