We need people to pick up donations.
The Guild collects yarn and supplies year-round from area individuals who are deststashing for various reasons. One such huge donation resulted in our impromptu January 2024 event. We need people around the county to pickup the occasional donation. This would require the volunteers to arrange to receive the yarn and deliver it to storage locations.
Jeanie Milliken, our Stash Sale Coordinator, has organized the sorting and pricing procedure so efficiently, she only needs to have the yarn all in one place a few weeks before the event.
WE NEED PEOPLE TO STORE YARN.
All you have to do is take possession of 3 to 6 large trash bags and deliver them to Jeanie when needed.
If you can help with either picking up a donation or storing yarn, please contact Jeanie Milliken at StashSale AT SanDiegoKnitters DOT com. If we all pitch in a little bit, the responsibility for our largest fundraiser will not fall to just a few volunteers. Storing yarn donations at home locations will save the Guild from spending funds to rent a storage unit.
