2023 Holiday Luncheon: Save the Date!

July 5, 2023

2023 Holiday Luncheon Early News

Monday, December 4, 2023 will see us gather once again at Morgan Run Resort and Club for our annual Holiday Luncheon. Advance registration information will be released as the event approaches.

In addition to a tasty lunch and fabulous Fashion Show, you’ll have multiple opportunities to win door prizes, the ever-popular table centerpieces, and (should you choose to purchase tickets) a huge selection of Opportunity Drawing gifts.

Donations Gladly Accepted

Thanks to a long list of vendors and our fabulous members and sub-groups, Holiday Luncheon Sponsors, we were able to offer a wonderful selection of items for the 2022 Opportunity Drawing. Please be sure to support our sponsors and let them know you appreciate their generous donations to the San Diego North Coast Knitters Guild.

Beyond your ticket purchase, please think about how else you might contribute to this important Guild fund-raiser.

For example, the Sock Monkey will make his annual appearance thanks to Phyllis Bates and her support team! And I’ve already heard from two sub-groups that will be contributing some very desirable gifts.

Other suggestions include:
  • Would your sub-group like to create a holiday-themed FO, such as a Nativity scene, decorated Christmas tree, or the like? Tania Marshall has offered an out-of-print Nativity pattern (sport-weight acrylic suggested) or choose your own project from the range of options available on Ravelry.
  • Mid– to high-end yarns — we are appealing to vendors but can always use more, either in quantity or those treasured single skeins. And let us know if you have a favorite vendor that’s not on our current sponsor list.
  • Project bags and other helpful accessories help to round out our gift assortments.
  • Non-fiber gifts are welcome! Jewelry, art work, other crafts . . . it’s always a pleasure to see the other interests that our talented members pursue!

Please contact Sydnie Wauson to donate or with any questions/suggestions about donations (see Directory or Guild website Info/Contacts page for email).

We’ll see you there!
