Luncheon Highlights and Many Thanks!
We had a sell-out crowd for this year’s event! Thank you to all who attended; we hope you enjoyed the Fashion Show, door prizes, special gifts, and more Opportunity Drawing items than ever before.
We kicked off the giving with Door Prize and Volunteer Thank-You drawings. This event would not happen without a crowd of members and friends who eagerly pitch in. Their names appear at the end of this article.
Our Sponsors and other Friends of the Guild provided a range of beautiful products, essential tools, and valuable gift certificates (including a heartwarming donation from Linda Hart in her mother’s memory). Talented members provided fabulous finished objects. And, of course, there were yarns of every hue – including a hank of Expression Fiber Arts yarn for every attendee, generously donated by the makers. The Luncheon Committee thanks everyone who donated a gift. Please pass along those thanks to our members and whenever you make a purchase from one of these vendors. The Opportunity Drawing is an important Guild fund-raiser, as we only break even on the luncheon itself.
After time for socializing and lunch, Opportunity Drawings and Fashion Show groups alternated until we had given away all 40 gift baskets and admired each of the 30 garments and other finished projects entered — with a few more Door Prizes and Volunteer Thank-Yous awarded along the way.

Our Programs co-chairs, Theresa Kotanchek and Willa Cather, were on hand to take January workshop sign-ups and present an overview of the amazing 2024 speaker schedule. Be sure to renew your Guild membership to take advantage of these exciting programs!

Finally, it was time to draw for the table centerpieces. Patti Fedler again donated materials and time to create unique project bags which were filled with more donations from Patti and generous vendors.
Thanks again for your attendance and support of our Guild. Stay tuned for exciting information about the 2024 Holiday Luncheon on Monday, Dec. 2!
Sincerely,
The 2023 Holiday Luncheon Committee
