In Memoriam Peg Patterson

November 27, 2023

Remembering Peg Patterson.

Peg Patterson

Peg, a dedicated surgical nurse by profession, made a significant move from the East Coast to California with her husband and two sons due to her husband’s business. She chose to retire from her nursing career to focus on nurturing her family.

During her time in San Marcos, Peg shared her passion for knitting by teaching beginners at Yarning for You. She was an exceptionally skilled and prolific knitter, generously gifting her beautifully crafted garments to family members and others, showing her thoughtfulness and care through her creations.

Known for her discerning eye for quality yarn, color selection, and knitting tools, Peg’s expertise was sought after by those around her. Her yarn stash was so bountiful that friends and acquaintances often humorously asked if they could “shop” from her collection.

Peg’s legacy lives on through the warmth and artistry she imbued in her knitted creations and the knowledge she shared with others during her time teaching.
