Good friends, stunning garments, gift baskets chock-full of goodies – our 2022 Holiday Luncheon had it all! Some 150 Guild members and guests enjoyed a memorable celebration of our craft and community as our 25th anniversary year drew to a close.

Sydnie Wauson did a terrific job chairing the Holiday Luncheon and Fashion Show. She organized nearly everyone and every part of the Luncheon.
Our extravaganza began with an hour to peruse the Opportunity Drawing prizes. These offered something to entice everyone ranging from beautiful products, valuable gift certificates, and essential tools donated by our supportive vendors and sub-groups — fabulous finished objects created and generously donated by our talented members — to, of course, yarns of every hue. The Luncheon Committee thanks everyone who donated a gift. Please pass along those thanks to our members and whenever you make a purchase from one of the many vendors and companies who contributed to this important Guild fund-raiser. Our wonderful sponsors are listed here. And see the Opportunity Drawing winners and their prizes here.
Door Prize and Volunteer Thank-You drawings began even before our lunch plates arrived! Lucky winners enjoyed extra centerpiece collections, small project kits, and helpful knitting accessories.
After time for socializing and lunch, Opportunity Drawings and Fashion Show groups alternated until we had given away all 38 gift baskets and admired each of the 25 garments and other finished projects entered — with a few more Door Prizes and Volunteer Thank-Yous awarded along the way. The Holiday Luncheon Fashion Show is amazing and here’s a photo gallery of all the stunning projects.

Our new Programs co-chairs, Theresa Kotanchek and Willa Cather, were on hand to take January workshop sign-ups and present an overview of the amazing 2023 speaker and workshop schedule. Be sure to renew your Guild membership to take advantage of these exciting 2023 programs!
Before we say goodbye to the 2022 Holiday Luncheon and Fashion Show, mark your calendars for Luncheon 2023 on Monday, December 4! We are working to be able to return to Morgan Run for another fun and fabulous afternoon.
Sincerely,
The 2022 Holiday Luncheon Committee: Mary Brown, Karen des Jardins, Ginny Newton, and Sydnie Wauson.
