Philanthropy News for May

April 23, 2021

Philanthropy Donations

Yarn for Philanthropy

It amazes me the beautiful knitted and crocheted hats, blankets, scarves and other projects our Guild produces for charitable donation. There were several knitting groups who donated hats, comfort scarves and baby blankets during the month of April. Groups included Seacrest Knitters, Kneedlers and Hookers of Ocean Hills Country Club and Villa Escondido ATAP Family Services Knitting Group. The above items will be donated to the organizations our Guild supports, such as Women’s Resource Center Oceanside and Emilio Nares Foundation.

I am sure there are many other groups and individuals doing charitable knitting. Please contact me to arrange for pickup of your completed items. A date in June will be determined for a meet and pick up of your completed items and to distribute yarn.

I can be reached at PhilanthropyATSanDiegoKnittersDOTcom or find my contact information in the Guild directory. Please send me your ideas and suggestions.

Thank you.

– Debbie Vacek, Philanthropy Coordinator
