Doodles by Pacific Knit Co. are modern and whimsical colorwork motifs that enable knitters to design and knit exactly what they want! The Doodle Framework has 4 simple steps: 1) Pick your Pattern Shape, 2) Pick your Doodle Motifs, 3) Pick your Yarn Colors and 4) Start Knitting! This class will be all about how to create your own Doodle Mashup! A Doodle Mashup is any project that uses charts from more than one collection. From as simple as combining Autumn + Halloween charts, or as complex as building an entire storyboard of your favorite movie using as many different Doodle Decks as you can grab! We'll walk you through some of the ways we think about Mashups, how to come up with ideas, resources for finding or modifying the charts you need, as well as other creative tips and tricks to making the most customized project you've ever knit!

• Brief introduction to Base Doodle Patterns
• Deep dive into how to choose, arrange, and customize your Doodle colorwork Charts
• Tips & Tricks to create a cohesive and high-contrast color palette for colorwork knitting, and choosing the right colors for your Mashup design
• Basic stranded colorwork techniques (in the round)

Experience with basic colorwork knitting

Combination of lecture with time for hands-on project building and playing with Doodle charts. Casting on a project during the class is not expected, it's more about learning about the process of the Doodle Framework.
