Philanthropy News for May

April 30, 2020

Philanthropy Note for May.

Ginny Newton

I’m so sorry we can’t all get together any time soon. I’m sure you’re all knitting away, as I am, trying to finish all those UFO’s!

Although we have been unable to personally deliver your valuable scarves, hats and baby items during this time of quarantine, we were able to deliver or mail most of what we have so far collected to an organization out of Rancho Palos Verdes named Handmade Especially for You run by Leslye Borden. They ship to women’s shelters and organizations throughout the State of California and the rest of the country, and the most recent shipments will arrive at their destinations for Mother’s Day.

I will repeat one final thing from last month – if you find yourself in need of patterns or yarn for your philanthropy projects (acrylic, worsted or dk/sport weight), contact me at the email address below. I will be happy to drop yarn off at your door. No personal contact needed. Note: a few

Hope to see you soon.
