Message from Guild President Tina Rounsavell

November 21, 2019

The Holiday Luncheon Needs YOU!

The Guild’s annual Holiday Luncheon is almost here. And that means it’s time to start planning next year’s luncheon!

Several of the people who have worked hard on this event in the past are stepping down this year. The Guild needs volunteers to take on their roles. And we need them NOW! The 2020 luncheon actually kicks off at the 2019 luncheon December 2 because that’s when the Guild signs the contract and pays a deposit for next year.

Here’s what we need:

  • Someone to be a liaison with the venue, Morgan Run
  • Someone to handle the lunch reservations
  • Someone to organize the fashion show
  • Someone to gather donations for the Opportunity Drawing

Any one of these roles would be great if you’re looking for a way to become more active in the Guild. You can work on your own schedule and do things your own way. Maybe you’d like to gather a group of your friends who would enjoy working together.

The Holiday Luncheon is not only a tasty meal and the biggest Show and Share of the year. It’s also one of the Guild’s most important fundraisers. The tickets sold at the Opportunity Drawing support Guild programs and other activities throughout the year. Without the Holiday Luncheon, we couldn’t be the Guild we are.

Please consider helping your Guild by joining the Holiday Luncheon committee. Contact President Tina Rounsavell President@SanDiegoKnitters.com if you can help.
