Join the Guild at the San Diego County Fair!

This year the San Diego County Fair rewinds to the past:
Let’s Go Retro from June 12–July 7, 2024.
Make sure you enter your individual knitted items by the entry deadline Tuesday, April 30.

As the Guild’s demonstration and teaching was very popular with the fair goers last year, we have been asked back. “It is truly rewarding to see the astounding looks of children and grown-ups alike when they pick-up a set of needles and with just a little guidance see the stitches grow into fabric”.
The plan is to come, sit and knit as a group of 3-4 members, answer general knitting questions of fair goers, and perhaps even teach to knit a few rows. The planned participation dates are Saturday June 15, and Saturday June 22.
Each day will have two shifts – 12 pm to 3 pm and 4 pm to 7 pm, with plenty of remaining time to browse through the fairgrounds.
Good News – we have all the volunteers we need! Visit the fair anyway and stop by the Guild Demonstration area to say hello!
