January 7 – Vice President Sydnie Wauson Speaks to the Guild

December 3, 2019

ABOUT SYDNie WAUSON IN HER OWN WORDS…

Sydnie Wauson

Following in the footsteps of all the “crafty” women in my extended family, I’ve been creating fun and/or functional items since childhood. While my mother and aunt were knitters, I didn’t take up those needles until about ten years ago — for the express purpose of knitting kilt hose for my husband to wear with the kilts and other accouterments I’d made for him.

While he has a few pairs of hand-knit kilt hose, I quickly discovered Ravelry and the endless possibilities of yarn, needles, and beads, as well as social interaction with people who appreciate those same joys. I’m happy to be able to share my familiarity with Ravelry through this presentation, which will include plenty of opportunities for audience interaction!
