Jamie Lomax – Doodling with Yarn
Knitwear designer and author Jamie Lomax is a dynamo. She began knitting during COVID and due to her ADHD, she quickly began “doodling” with yarn.
Her framework is deceptively simple. Taking base patterns as a canvas, she mixes and matches compatible designs to work into the base pattern using stranded knitting techniques. The designs are available in card decks or digital collections and are meant to be personally arranged and modified.
Jamie Lomax is the author of two books: The Doodle Knit Directory and the newly released Doodle Sock Knitting Directory. Each book contains 200 graphed motifs.
Her website, PacificKnitCo.com, is packed with information, tutorials, an app for locating specific designs, and all her Doodle collections.
Be careful! Doodling can easily become a new knitting obsession (speaking for a friend).
