Holiday Luncheon/Fashion Show/Opportunity Drawing
We closed out this decade with another successful Holiday Luncheon with all the extras. Our second year with reserved tables worked out well for everyone. The Fashion Show was full of spectacular creations, and the Opportunity Drawing choices filled the large room with goodies.
A big Thank You to –
Amy Sheridan and her stalwart crew took on the registration one last time. Karen des Jardins spearheaded the reserved table reservations. Scarrain Gomes prepared all of the raffle tickets and baskets, then took off to be there for her grandson’s birth. Brigit Pitcairn stepped up to run the ticket sales with her crew.
Mar Gee outdid Mar Gee this year, with even more wonderful extravagant prizes. We have a talented and devoted membership, who support this event with individual donations as well as our sub-groups who put together some astounding collections. This has become a major fundraiser for the guild.
Barbara Levin stepped up to organize the Fashion Show. It was packed with exciting knits, which were captured on our cellphones as the models worked their way through the room. Guess we all have ideas for some new projects!
Mar Gee stenciled “GONE KNITTING” on canvas bags full of goodies (and yarn) for our centerpieces, and everyone got a coaster with the Guild logo.
We will have a new crew working on all aspects of this event for 2020. Please share any ideas you have with Sydnie Wauson. Better yet, offer to help.
I have had a delightful time working with everyone involved for the past three years. It will be fun to sit in the crowd and knit next year.
Thank you for supporting the Guild and me in this event.
