Guild Awards for the 2019 San Diego County Fair

July 27, 2019

Congratulations to the winners of our Guild awards at the 2019 San Diego County Fair!

Each year the Guild awards prizes for Best Original Design and Best Workmanship. This year the Guild judges’ choice for Best Original Design was a colorful poncho created by founding Guild member Colleen Davis. Two garments tied for the Best Workmanship award. Jessica Hill Trujillo won with a gray hooded cardigan in a lace pattern. Kim Lovett’s winning entry was a double-knit Chrysanthemum Hat in pink and cream. Kim is on a winning streak. She also won a Guild award at last year’s Fair.

The annual awards are part of the Guild’s mission to promote the craft of knitting. Winners receive a check for $50 and one-year’s free membership in the Guild.
