Minutes of the General Meeting

At 12:45 PM Co-President Renate Kamm called the meeting to order. (The meeting started late due to the numerous workshop sign-ups for Arne and Carlos).
Program Co-Chair Theresa Kotanchek announced that our March guest Faina Goberstein will present her talk and lead her workshops virtually. Because space is limited our April meeting and workshops with guests Arne and Carlos are only for current guild members.
Theresa introduced Mary Martin, our guest speaker for this month. We learned how one project – a reversible cancer hat for a friend – turned into a lifelong obsession with reversible knitting. Her tenacity, curiosity, and humor made her a delightful speaker.
After Mary’s presentation, Renate introduced our Treasurer, Carol Myers. Carol is looking for new venues for our next Holiday Luncheon, as we seem to have outgrown our previous location. Any guild members with connections to other venues (golf clubs, in particular) are urged to get in touch with her.
Co-President Tania Marshall announced board and committee chair vacancies for our next term. To ease the transition, existing and new chairs would work together before the new term begins.
Colleen Lukoff Philanthropy Chair gave a heartfelt thank you to members who donated a total of 833 items to charity last year.
Vice-President Sydnie Wauson led the Show and Share.
The meeting was adjourned at 2:21 PM
