NEXT STEPS IN REVERSIBLE KNITTING

Class Description: “Next Steps in Reversible Knitting” workshop is suitable for students familiar with either Fission Knitting or Fusion Knitting.

The Next Steps workshop will teach:

• The notation and chart symbols used across Mary Martin’s designs,
• Why the techniques work,
• When to break the rules of Fission/ Fusion Knitting (taught in the Introductory classes),
• Choosing yarn/ colors.

Time permitting, we will discuss:

• Further applications of these techniques,
• How to create your own motifs.

Class Length: 3 hours

Meeting Format: Lecture/discussion with no hands-on knitting.

Level of Experience: Students should be familiar with either Fission Knitting or Fusion Knitting. Students may have taken a class with Mary or knitted one of her reversible patterns.

Homework: None

Materials and Supplies Needed:

Bring Fission and/or Fusion works in progress (WIPS) and their corresponding patterns to follow along with the notation/ chart section.

Class Size: Maximum 20

Cost: $30 for members ($65 for non-members which includes Guild Membership)

The confirmation email will include where to mail your check #.

Or register in person at the February Guild meeting. Credit card payments are in-person only via a Square swipe (a small service fee will be added.)

# Reminder: Checks are to be made payable to San Diego North Coast Knitters Guild (payee name must be written out in full.) Please write name and date of the workshop on your check.

Cancellation Policy: Please notify us as early as possible if you need to cancel your workshop registration. Refund of the workshop fee requires a cancellation notification at least 48 hours in advance of the workshop. Fees cannot be refunded for cancellations with less than 48 hours advance notice.
