Guild Meeting in Person

Tuesday, March 3, 2026 @ 12:30 PM - 2:30 PM

Overview

Romi Hill is a full-time knitwear designer, pattern writer, and seeker of beauty living in the high desert slopes of the Sierra-Nevada mountain range. She is a city girl at heart, but is also inspired by the wide-open spaces of her Northern Nevada home.

“Join me for a talk about my passion. My lace designs begin with inspiration from nature, form, color, architecture, and geometry, and then those ideas are translated using stitch patterns as pictograms, arranged to tell a larger story in fabric. I love to reinterpret familiar motifs and connect them in ways that create an organic flow. Along the way, I am passionate about demystifying lace knitting and encouraging knitters to approach it with curiosity and confidence.”
