Guild Meeting In Person

Tuesday, May 5, 2026 @ 12:30 PM - 2:30 PM

Overview

Irina Anikeeva explains, “My Journey to Create ‘Solace: Stitches of Comfort’ is a personal and creative presentation exploring the inspiration, process, and meaning behind my third book, published in print.

I will share how my background, cultural influences, and lifelong relationship with knitting shaped the designs, and how each piece evolved from initial concept to finished garment. The presentation offers insight into my design philosophy, the technical and aesthetic decisions behind the collection, and the role knitting plays as a source of comfort, expression, and connection.

Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of the creative journey behind the book and the ideas that continue to inspire my work.”
