Mary Martin Visits the Guild in Person February 6, 2024

Tuesday, February 6, 2024 @ 12:30 PM - 2:30 PM

Overview

Mary Martin will present “The Evolution of Fusion and Fission Knitting.”

Important! Scroll down to read where we will be meeting!

Mary Martin is a knitwear designer based in Toronto, Canada, focusing on reversible fabrics. She has developed two reversible techniques: Fission Knitting and Fusion Knitting.

Mary will be speaking to us about the Evolution of Fusion & Fission Knitting. It is a story of how each development in knitting poses further questions about what is possible. Her inspiration comes from her knitting and the knitters around her.

Read more about Mary and her planned workshops here.

Note: Doors open at 12:15. The presentation will start promptly at 12:30, with the entire program ending at 2:30. The meeting will be held in the Encinitas Community Center, Room 142A.  The entrance to meeting room 142A(AKA the dining hall) is inside, near the door to the patio area.  Do not go outside.  Since this is the dining hall, ECC (which made the change) will need additional time to set up the room for our use. Please do not enter the room before 12:15. ECC just informed the Guild of this last-minute change.
