Stash Sale: Hold those donations
Please don’t bring any Stash Sale donations to the August meeting as our new coordinator, Rosanne Farnum, will not be in attendance. She will happily accept donations starting at the September 8 meeting.
Use of Guild Membership Directory
Just a reminder that the Guild Membership Directory (printed and online) is provided only to facilitate individual communication of a personal nature between Guild members. It must not be used to compile a mailing list or in other ways described on this site and in each printed copy. Thank you for respecting the privacy of all members.
Holiday Luncheon notes
Tuesday, December 8 our 2026 Holiday Luncheon will be held at the Encinitas Community Center. Expect more room, more seats, easier parking, and a lower price! Watch for full details and ticket sales starting in early September.
Pre-meeting clinic schedule
The semi-official pre-meeting clinic resumes for August and should run through November (but check this space for updates to the schedule, as our experts have lives too). Tania Marshall may not be there this month but you’ll find Renate Kamm, Linda Hart, and other skilled knitters offering their assistance.
Fiber-y (and adjacent) things to do:
- The SoCal Fiber Fair returns to Pomona on November 21 and 22. Tickets go on sale August 1 at their website; November 4 is the deadline to enter items in 16 different categories of judged competition.
- Add the Guild’s full schedule of 2026 meetings, workshops, and other attractions to your calendar! Details are always available in Latest News and in our monthly News Blast, which is typically emailed to all members on the Thursday before each meeting.

Ravelry
Check out our Ravelry SDNCKG group page where you can find special announcements not available on the Guild website and a link to the Guild’s library on Ravelry. Members can post questions and provide information about non-Guild events (the forum is moderated and inappropriate posts may be edited or removed).
The Guild has a social media account on Instagram. Expect to find announcements, reminders, workshop news, and more. If you have an Instagram account, scan the QR code and click the follow button – or search for SanDiegoKnitters while in Instagram.
Guild Library
The Guild has an extensive library full of knitting and crochet pattern books and related resources. It’s easy to check out books and pick them up (and later return them) at in-person Guild meetings. Details here.

A number of talented Guild members are published designers; you can see many of their designs and patterns on Ravelry (their Ravelry IDs appear in parenthesis).
