In this class students will go over each step of the pattern from the cast on to the short rows in the striped section and then begin a Ferris Wheel Shawl in class. Skills covered include basic short rows, creating neat edges along a striped panel, picking up stitches along the side of a garter stitch panel, and joining a strip of knitting to a row of stitches.
Level of Experience: Adventurous Beginner/Intermediate. Student should have basic knitting skills.

Homework: None.
Materials to Bring to Class: Two colors of fingering weight yarn or a Ferris wheel shawl kit (1 skein (440 yards) of the main (light) color and 2 skeins (880 yards) of the contrast (dark) color), circular needles in a size 6 and 7 with the longest cord that you own, and stitch markers.
Pattern is provided by the instructor.
