2023 San Diego County Fair

March 29, 2023

San Diego County Fair Competition Information

While the Guild will not have a booth again this year (no one volunteered to serve as fair coordinator) members can still submit their projects in the needle arts competition.

The initial entry deadline is May 8. Detailed information with forms and additional deadlines can be found on the Fair’s website under the category “Home Made” – click here. Then scroll down and look for the image of a plate to the right to find the header “DECORATIVE ARTS & CRAFTS, NEEDLE ART, SEWING, WEAVING & FELTING”

Make note of the deadlines, and good luck! Last year, a number of Guild members submitted their finished projects and came away with blue ribbons. Check out Tania’s report on the 2022 competition here, and think about volunteering to be the Guild’s fair coordinator for 2025.
