It is all about promoting wool worldwide and raising funds for cancer research. An eight-member team of hand knitters, spinners and one shearer (one sheep included) practice throughout the year. They shear the sheep, spin the wool and then knit a sweater – all in the same day. The goal is to beat the previous time. In 2015 the record was 8 hours 9 minutes 5 seconds. Did they beat that time in 2019? Come to the August meeting and learn about this amazing group of women.
