San Diego Yarn Crawl Set For September

August 15, 2016

Crawl LogoThe fifth annual San Diego Yarn Crawl is September 14 to 17, 2017!  Support our Local Yarn Shops!

The crawl is a self-guided tour of local yarn shops and alpaca farms. It’s your chance to meet passionate knitters (and crocheters) while increasing your yarn stash and enjoying special events.  There will be trunk shows with knitwear designers and yarn companies of all sizes. Take classes to learn a new technique and try out new tools. Sample new skeins at yarn tastings. Meet alpacas. Get free patterns. Win yarn. Crawl sponsors have donated many wonderful prizes for the fiber enthusiast.

Your visit to a LYS helps keep these local resources available and viable. They are there when you want to touch the yarn before you buy.  They are there when you need another skein in the same dye lot. They are there to answer your questions about a fiddly part of the pattern. They are there to advise you on blocking your newest creation. Attend the yarn crawl, buy yarn and more, keep our LYS in business!

Nearly all yarn shops in San Diego County are participating. And visit a local alpaca farm to see where we get this lovely light fiber.
