May Philanthropy News / Knit-a-Gift Event May 22nd

April 29, 2019

Thank you!

Ginny Newton

I want to thank you, as I try to do every month, for your unbelievable generosity. All the hats, scarves, baby blankets, squares and recently baby sweaters, are beautifully made and truly appreciated.

This time, in case you are tired of hearing about my “squares” project, I will be holding what I call a “Knit a Gift” event on Wednesday, May 22, 2019, at Panera in San Marcos from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m.

This time, in addition to the usual square patterns and yarn, I will have available a nice supply of donated baby yarn and baby sweater patterns. (I’m looking for easy patterns.) You can just come and knit, enjoy some goodies, and give and receive inspiration, all while doing something wonderful for others. Please check the website if you need more details.

Finally, if there is something else you would like me to consider for philanthropy, perhaps for next year, or if you would like us to hold an event in a location nearer you, please let me know your thoughts at the next Guild Meeting or at Philanthrophy@SanDiegoKnitters.com. I realize so far the events have been held way up in North County (where I live), but I don’t mind traveling to you if you have a suggestion.

Thank you

— Ginny Newton, Philanthropy Chair
