Minutes of the General Meeting

At 12:30 PM Co-President Renate Kamm called the meeting to order.
Renate urged members to visit the tables in the back of the room: Philanthropy, Membership, Holiday Luncheon, Retreats, and Show and Share. Our winter retreat in January is sold out, but extra rooms could be made available if a member were to sign up by day’s end (six additional retreat participants signed up at the meeting).
Theresa Kotanchek, Program Co-Chair, introduced our guest speaker Cecelia Campochiaro. It is always inspiring to see how Cecelia’s curious mind and indefatigable creativity evidences itself in her gorgeous knitted objects.
After Cecelia’s presentation, Theresa Kotanchek previewed our upcoming guild programs. December is our Holiday Luncheon. January is our Cast-On Party with designer tables, teacher tables, a helper station, and local yarn shop pop-ups. February our program with Joji Locatelli will be on Zoom (her workshops will be limited to 30 people.) March our in-person program with Dawn Barker will be about assigned color pooling.
Sandy Levin, Holiday Luncheon Coordinator, announced that only a few more places are available for our Holiday Luncheon. November 15 is the deadline for Holiday Luncheon fashion show sign-ups.
Renate Kamm announced our roster of officers and committee chairs for the 2025-2027 term (to be presented for election at the January meeting).
