Thoughts Regarding Guild Membership from Nancy Nevin
Knitting, friendships and SDNCKG all continue to bring a small sense of normalcy our way these days; distance and even oceans can’t keep us apart. Over the past couple of months, our Guild has made technologic advances (thanks in large part to member, Karen des Jardins, our techie and knitter extraordinaire) as we dived into the Zoom Generation. And several new and renewing members have returned to our membership to reconnect with their San Diego Knitting friends and to take part in Zoom workshops. We welcome members from Hawaii, Idaho, Minnesota, and a New York resident who just moved to Santa Barbara. Knitting has a lot to offer all of us and this significant connection is reinforced at each monthly general meeting where 120+ members tune in by Zoom to share in the program and to see familiar faces for a quick visit.
Perhaps you are in touch with a knitter out of our San Diego area who would welcome this small but important connection. Encourage them to investigate our website to see all that we offer and exciting plans for the future. The membership form is available on our website under the Member Resources tab, or just click on Renew or Join to access the form for “the biggest bargain in knitting” – membership with SDNCKG. How about a gift to a relative or distant friend who could benefit from this connection? If you have questions, please contact me.
