Minutes of the General Meeting

2025 Membership directories and nametags were distributed to attendees prior to and after the General Meeting.
President Mary Barranger called the meeting to order at 12:30 pm.
Theresa Kotanchek from Programs introduced Dawn Barker, who gave a talk entitled Dyer, Designer, Teacher: Artist. She discussed the genesis of her family-run yarn dyeing business and her techniques on managing yarn pooling. She offered some of her specialty yarns for sale and offered a discount to Guild members for in-person and online sales through the end of March with the code NORTHCOAST.
After a question-and-answer session and review of Ms. Barker’s workshop offerings, Programs co-chair previewed upcoming speakers and workshops. Signups are currently available for April and May sessions.
Jeanie Milliken, Stash Sale Coordinator, provided an update on the June 2025 Stash Sale, noting yarn donations have begun in earnest. Book donations are to go to Donna Mulcahy, Guild Librarian. Individual patterns will not be accepted.
