March 2026 Show and Share

April 5, 2026

MARCH 2026 SHOW AND SHARE

Our March Show and Share highlights items from stash and Stash Sale yarns. Your next chance to show in person is May; save time and download a Show and Share form in advance. If you can’t attend the May meeting, or have an item you’d like to show off now, you may submit photos and project details via email to the Webmaster. As always, instructions for submitting your photos for posting are at the bottom of this page. Remember, our April meeting is via Zoom so no in-person Show and Share!

A complete list and links to past Guild Photo Galleries can be found on the drop-down menu under the Guild Info tab.

Click on any photo in a gallery to start a slide show and view larger versions of photos. Thanks to Tania Marshall for her tireless Show and Share photography duties.

PHOTO GALLERY FROM THE MARCH 2026 GUILD MEETING
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
Rosemary Shearer shows her lovely Wild Swan shawl, designed by Anne-Lise Maigaard & Nim Teasdale.
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
Rosemary used Reywa’s Bloom yarn, a silk/yak blend, for this intricate lacework.
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
Karen des Jardins used the designer’s “yummy!” camel/silk gradient for Scarfscape by Laura Nelkin.
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
Karen found she had enough yarn to add crochet fringe, which she beaded for added effect.
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
Karen also showed her Melt the Ice hat from Paul Neary, worked in merino wool. She notes that she lengthened the body by adding an inch of stockinette before starting the shaping.
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
Donna Mulcahy used Stash Sale yarn (Karabella Aurora 8) in a great shade of red to work the Flax tee from Tin Can Knits.
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
Nathine Nelson showed her Beneath a Summer Sky shawl from Debra Gerhard.
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
Nathine worked the slipped stitch pattern in two colors of Greenwood Fiberworks Fine Fluff, a goat mohair and silk blend.
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
Nathine Nelson used a lime green yarn from stash to make the Lichen tee from DanDoh.
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
Nathine used cotton to make this precious teddy in a hoodie, using a pattern given to her by a friend. She notes there was no information on the designer or pattern name. This little guy needs a name!
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
Sue Kristiansen won the Rowan California Cotton yarns and a textured sweater pattern at our Holiday Luncheon. She loved the textures but not the sweater style, so adjusted Molly from Cocoknits to include the Rowan patterning.
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
Sue’s necklace is Gina from Laura Nelkin, using a local shell in place of the designer’s ceramic pendant.
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
Theresa Kotanchek collaborated with Karen Damsey to design the Oceanograph Kimono sweater jacket. Her inspiration was a photo of a silk top with a blue-to-turquoise gradient.
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
The body is knit from 6 colors of Prism Symphony, a wool/cashmere/nylon blend.
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
The arrow pattern is Barbara Walker’s ZigZag Check stitch, worked in Prism Manhattan Highlands, a multi-color tubular yarn.
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
Cuffs and neckband are Walker’s Belted Stripes stitch.
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
Tina Rippy knit the Shakerag Skirt (Nell Knits) in Patton Classic Wool Merino.
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
She added beads to embellish the bottom of the skirt. [Webmaster: I bet this makes for a great swish as you walk!]
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
Maria Gualda made Ellen Furderer’s Turm skirt from stash yarns, holding a Plucky Bello and unidentified lace yarn together.
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
Her yarns are a blend of merino, cashmere, and silk. She adusted this “fun knit” to create a fold-over waistband with removable elastic.
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
Maria also wore The Simple Thing scarf from Melina Brell. She notes that both the skirt and scarf patterns are free!
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
Randi Hatch made Anne Hanson’s Artus & Anne cardigan using Expression Fiber Arts Moongleam, a fingering blend of cotton and mulberry silk.
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
The all-over lace sweater is worked with size 2 and size 4 needles.
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
Ivy Chan Andrade shows Le Pouf Cardigna from Beata Jezek.
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
She worked with various colors of Hedgehog Fibres Sock, a fingering wool, to create the lovely gradient effect.

How to Submit Your Photos: Photos can be submitted via email attachments to the Webmaster. For clarity, image file sizes should be greater than 500 kb. Keep in mind when you take your photos that projects show up best against solid contrasting backgrounds. Include in your email a description of your project, pattern and designer name, yarn used, how you came to knit your project, and any other information you wish viewers to know. Be sure to include your name in your email! Tip — no need to complete a Show and Share form for virtual postings — just put your project information in the body of your email.

* Did you know? If you have the option, take your photos with your phone. Smart phones have much better cameras than iPads or tablets and are as good if not better than many digital cameras! You can email photos directly from your phone, no need to download first — just include your project information in the body of your email.

There is no set deadline for submissions; photos are posted according to the month they are received. Projects received by the 4th Monday of the month will appear in the next month’s gallery.
