Minutes of the General Meeting

President Mary Barranger called the meeting to order at 12:32 p.m.
Theresa Kotanchek, Program Chair, introduced this month’s speaker, Romi Hill. Theresa noted that Romi had originally been scheduled for May 2025 (with Kristen Vejar), but many
members wanted to take all available workshops so the Guild decided to host them individually.
Romi’s presentation was entitled “Lace Inspirations and Designs.” After offering insights into her creative process, she fielded questions from the audience.
Theresa outlined the Wednesday and Thursday workshops, then reviewed the next few months’ events. April will be a Zoom meeting at 10:00 a.m. on the 14th, the second Tuesday of the month, to accommodate Stephen West from Amsterdam. May will feature Guild member and professional designer Irina Anikeeva. June is our Stash Sale, followed by Holidays in July.
Sydnie Wauson, Webmaster, gave a PowerPoint presentation previewing the features of the new Guild website (under construction). Beta testing begins mid-April and we hope to transition later this summer.
Sydnie then emceed Show and Share.
President Mary Barranger adjourned the meeting at 1:58 p.m. Attendees were then free to check out the tables full of Romi Hill’s sample projects.
