Minutes of the General Meeting

At 12:35 PM Co-President Renate Kamm called the meeting to order. Members are urged to visit the tables in the back to get information on the following: membership, guild library, workshops, retreat, philanthropy, and show and share. Attendees are requested to use the bathrooms down the hall rather than the ones connected to the meeting room.
Gwen Nelson was awarded the well-deserved Honorary Lifetime Membership in appreciation for her many years of service to the guild.
Program Co-Chair Theresa Kotanchek introduced our guest speaker Yumiko Alexander who presented a delightful program in which she modeled her knitting designs and gave helpful information on the differences between animal and plant based fibers.
After Yumiko’s talk, Theresa Kotanchek gave more information on our upcoming guest speakers and workshops: Sally Holt (August), Dario Tubiana (September), Barry Klein (October), Janine Bajus (November).
Renate Kamm introduced the following committee chairpersons: Membership Chair Nancy Nevin announced she has printed a supplemental directory with contact information on members who joined after the membership booklet was released. Retreats Co-Chair Debbie Cravets said there are a few spaces still available for the August retreat in Temecula. Sign up fast.
Vice-President Sydnie Wauson emceed the Show and Share.
Renate Kamm adjourned the meeting at 1:58 PM.
