Fun and Games with the Guild was indeed FUN!!!
At our last meeting, July 2, we had a completely different room setup. We had four-top tables set up in the meeting room so the members had the opportunity to chat in smaller groups.
Our first game was based on a “Speed Dating” concept. A timer was set for two minutes and pertinent questions were asked to get to learn more about the people sitting at the table. After two minutes passed, the tables were mixed up and a new set of people started asking questions. It was a really fun way to get to know other members that you don’t usually talk to.
Then we played an exciting game of Bingo with knitting terms placed in the Bingo squares. Nancy Nevin was the big winner in the first game, as well as the second! She graciously declined the second win, which gave someone else the opportunity to win a prize.
The last game played was “What is in Your Bag”. Sue Zois had an extensive list of knitting items that she called out to the group, “Is this in your bag?” We had many happy winners.
Did I mention the awesome prizes? Throughout the afternoon, everyone had a chance to win a raffle prize when an individual’s name was called. The prizes included gorgeous yarn, project bags, row counters, wooden ornaments…
We also had fresh lemonade, iced tea and water to drink, as well as scrumptious treats to nibble on as we played our games. Refreshments were provided by Laura Brubaker, Sue Zois, Mary Van Orsdol, and Tree DeZazzo.
Thanks to all who participated in the FUN!
