OUR Annual Stash Sale WAS A SMASHING SUCCESS!

The 2025 Stash Sale had a most positive outcome: we made almost $10,000.00 ($9,764.00 to be exact). Wow! That’s the most we’ve ever raised.
The best part was watching all the shoppers enthusiastically going through the yarn, needles, knitted items, accessories, and the grab bag tables. There were families, husbands helping spouses, mothers and daughters, Guild Members new and old, and even a shopper who had come from Washington State last year and vowed to never miss the sale!

It’s a tribute to teamwork — and what a team we had. Former Stash Sale coordinators, new members, former members, and past volunteers. We had collectors of the donated items, sorters and baggers who priced each item, drivers getting the large bags to the ECC, nine blue apron tally volunteers, and three cashiers at the check-out table.
THE TEAM: Kristi Porter, Barbara Wright, Chris Ward, M.E. Fithian, Sue Zois, Susan Johansen, Eileen Adler, Theresa Kotanchek, Diana Rathbun, Rosanne Farnum, Amy Sheridan, Linda Sellers, Mary Woo, Donna Mulcahy, Renate Kamm, Mary Lovett, Laura Brubaker, Sheila Kirschenbaum, Becky Johnson, Nancy Lerer, Amy Stevens, Maria Gualda, Renate Kamm, Judy Bavasi, Jennie Chin, Andrea Berg, and Patti Fedler.

The non-profits arrived at 1:00 p.m. to take what was left. These organizations included: Norman Park Senior Center in Chula Vista (Tania Marshall), Braille Institute of Coachella Valley (Sylvia King for Roselynn Calderon), Solana Beach Presbyterian Church Seniors (Julie Huebner), Revision Project (Jill Chambers and M.E. Fithian), Carlsbad Senior Center (Martha Parks), and our own Guild Philanthropy (Colleen Lukoff).
Thanks to everyone for pitching in and making this such a success,
Jeanie Milliken
