At 12:31 PM, President Mary Barranger called the meeting to order.
Programs Co-Chair Theresa Kotanchek introduced this month’s speaker, Joji Locatelli. Joji came to us from her home base in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Her talk The Story of a Knitter outlined her inspiring life’s journey which had her leaving her medical practice to pursue the creative and healing passion of knitting.
After the presentation, Theresa outlined Joji’s two workshops to be held on Feb 5, 2025 and then previewed the upcoming March and April programs.
Vice President Nancy Lerer reminded everyone to renew their Guild memberships by February 7, 2025 to be included in the 2025 Directory. Membership can easily be renewed online on our Guild’s website and allows members to attend meetings, workshops, special events, and retreats.
Philanthropy Chair Colleen Lukoff presented a short slideshow highlighting the 1071 donations either made or facilitated by Guild members to more than a dozen area organizations.
President Mary Barranger urged members to wear nametags during in-person Guild events and highlighted the interesting article on the website about the January winter retreat.
The meeting was adjourned at 1:54 PM.
