February 2026 Show and Share

August 23, 2024

FEBRUARY 2026 SHOW AND SHARE

Show and Share for February featured several items in purpose-dyed yarn as well as designs from prior speakers. Your next chance to show in person is March 2026. Save time and download a Show and Share form in advance. If you can’t attend the March meeting, or have an item you’d like to show off now, you may submit photos and project details via email to the Webmaster. As always, instructions for submitting your photos for posting are at the bottom of this page. Remember, our April meeting is via Zoom so no in-person Show and Share!

A complete list and links to past Guild Photo Galleries can be found on the drop-down menu under the Guild Info tab.

Click on any photo in a gallery to start a slide show and view larger versions of photos. Thanks to Tania Marshall for her tireless Show and Share photography duties.

PHOTO GALLERY FROM THE FEBRUARY 2026 GUILD MEETING
Feb 26 Marshall Neary Melt The Ice Hat
Tania Marshall showed her Melt the Ice hat, designed by Paul Neary and based on a design famously worn by Norwegian patriots during WW2. Tania knit hers in Patons Classic wool. The pattern has been purchased by more than 10,000 people on Ravelry, with proceeds going to immmigrant aid societies.

Ruby Townsend models her self-designed Spring Sweater.

This mitered square “puzzle” design was made in various spring floral-inspired colors of various acrylic yarns.

Eileen Adler and her sister Jill Cammarata showed off their Float Shawls. Jill used assigned pooling yarn from designer Dawn Barker, whle Eileen used her own yarn and “just added flowers individually.” Their KAL ws held during a road trip from Jill’s home in New York to California.

Linda Hart looks understandably delighted with her Hipster Light scarf from Joji Locatelli. She used Malabrigo Rios and notes this is a fun knit, but has notified the designer of an error in the chart.

Linda Hart showed another “fun knit,” the Serenity shawl by Dana Fehrenbach. Linda used “mystery” Stash Sale yarns and added a picot edge.
Feb 26 Geran Robbins Kathys Fair Isle Hat
Jennifer Geran began Kathy’s Fair Isle hat (by Kate Robbins) at the January 26 retreat and completed it in time to show here!

Jeanie Milliken wowed us all with her outfit from Stash Sale yarn (2500 yards of Antalya Ginger wool/cashmere/nylon). Her Everyday Sweater is by Drea Renee.
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
Jeanie matched it with the Isobel skirt from Cia Abbott Bullemer, proving once again the value and selections available at our annual Stash Sale!
Feb 26 Tavaglione Outland Throw Del Vecchio
Sue Tavaglione used the Outland Throw by Michael del Vecchio to “try her hand” at Log Cabin construction. She notes it’s good practice in picking up along both horizontal and vertical edges. This child-size version in Plymouth Encore will be donated to Loma Linda Children’s Hospital.
Feb 26 Yayanos Dani Vest Gnagy
Sandy Yayanos gamely finished her Dani vest (by Mathew Gnagy) but would “never again!” tackle the mirrored design and cables. It’s worked in KOCT’s Creme Brulee DK merino. Sandy’s daughter gets the vest while the pattern book goes to the Guild library!
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
Shelly Gragg showed off her first-ever socks (!) in the Raccoon pattern by Andrea Rangel.
Feb 26 Gragg Racoon Socks Rangel
These too-cute socks are worked in superwash wool designed for the pattern by Gauge Dye Works.
Feb 26 Kotanchek Shakerag Tee Christoffers
Theresa Kotanchek models her Shakerag tee top from Amy Christoffers. She notes it’s “excellent TV or airplane” knitting with the stockinette stripes fashioned by holding 1 or 2 strands of the ITO ASA linen/cotton/silk. She would add shoulder shaping and find an alternative to the stepped bindoff.
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
Sydnie Wauson showed her 4th and 5th Blingola shawlettes (pattern and yarn from Laura Nelkin). This is mindless knitting with the yarn doing all the work.
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
Versions 1-4 have been given away but she’s keeping the gold #5 for herself! Two yarns are held together: a solid color fingering cotton/alpaca and the sequined yarn, which is also available on Etsy (but choose your vendor carefully, as Tania Marshall got “ghosted” by one).

How to Submit Your Photos: Photos can be submitted via email attachments to the Webmaster. For clarity, image file sizes should be greater than 500 kb. Keep in mind when you take your photos that projects show up best against solid contrasting backgrounds. Include in your email a description of your project, pattern and designer name, yarn used, how you came to knit your project, and any other information you wish viewers to know. Be sure to include your name in your email! Tip — no need to complete a Show and Share form for virtual postings — just put your project information in the body of your email.

* Did you know? If you have the option, take your photos with your phone. Smart phones have much better cameras than iPads or tablets and are as good if not better than many digital cameras! You can email photos directly from your phone, no need to download first — just include your project information in the body of your email.

There is no set deadline for submissions; photos are posted according to the month they are received. Projects received by the 4th Monday of the month will appear in the next month’s gallery.
