Whitecaps Project Class

Class Description: As you are knitting Whitecaps, it’s exciting to see the stitch pattern progress. In this class, you’ll practice the body stitch pattern on a swatch and learn how to pick up stitches for sleeves. The goal is for you to know how to do all the techniques required for this project.

Class Length: 3 hours

Meeting Format: Hands-on demonstration and learning

Level of Experience: Intermediate – should know how to knit, purl, and slip stitches.

Homework: None

Materials and Supplies to Bring to Class:
For the class, participants only need one skein of yarn for swatching.
DanDoh Silk+ is the recommended pattern fiber, with a size US #9 needle.
Stitch markers
Paper and pencil or pen for taking notes

Materials Fee for Whitecaps kit(cost depends on size and yarn amount) Note: Kits can be pre-ordered through the DanDoh webpage or from stores which carry DanDoh fibers.

Yarn amount: 6 skeins-kit ($118), 7 skeins-kit ($137) – order ahead.

Finished sizes:

Chest: 44 [49, 55]”
Length (laid flat): Choice of 20″, 22 1/2″ or 25″

Yarn needed for each size and length:
20″ long: 5-6 [6, 6-7] skeins
22 1/2″ long: 6 [6, 7] skeins
25″ long: 6 [7, 7] skeins

Color Choices:

COST: $30 for members ($65 for non-members which includes 2023 Guild Membership)

Class Size Limit: Note: class size now limited to 15 (originally was 20.)

Your registration is guaranteed upon confirmation of receipt of your payment.

Cancellation policy: Please notify us as early as possible if you need to cancel your workshop registration. Refund of the workshop fee requires a cancellation notification at least 48 hours in advance of the workshop. Fees cannot be refunded for cancellations with less than 48 hours advance notice.
