Colleen Davis Leads Swing Knitting 101 MTM Workshop
German designers popularized this unique style of short rows that gives us endless possibilities for our knitting.
Sign up at the February meeting; workshop limited to eight students.
Materials to Bring: Needles, US size 6 or 7 straight needles (preferred length 9-10″). Yarn of medium weight, can be different fibers and textures. A partial skein is 5 yards or more. Color suggestions for yarn: purple, blue, turquoise or turquoise, green, yellow, or rose, lavender, light blue, or olive, avocado, chartreuse or violet, red, orange
1 partial skein black medium weight yarn
3 partial skeins Color A
3 partial skeins Color B
3 partial skeins Color C .
Homework: With darkest color (A), cast on 30 stitches and knit 3 rows, leaving yarn on needle. If you are not familiar with short rows, watch a tutorial (on YouTube or elsewhere) showing short rows.
Cost: $30 paid to the instructor at time of sign-up.
