Margaret Holzmann Workshop

Learn how to make this wonderful blanket of colorful campers. In this 5-hour workshop, we will learn how to make the two blocks that are the basis of the Camp Along blanket: the camper and the tree, and how to join them into strips, and how to knit the strips together. We will learn how to pick up and knit on previously completed edges, how to use a 3-needle bind off to create shapes, intarsia for garter stitch, chain stitch embroidery, and the best method for sewing on embellishments. Collectively, these skills will enable you to complete this blanket and Margaret’s extensive collection of knitted blanket patterns.

Enrollment in the Workshop includes the full pattern for the blanket, class handouts, homework assignments and permanent access to Margaret’s technique and Camp Along specific video tutorials. You will have everything you need to complete this fun blanket!

 

NOTE! Workshop Length and Time:  This is one 5-hour workshop. We will meet from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, break for one hour, and continue at 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.

 

Level of Experience: More than a novice knitter.

Homework: There is a homework assignment for both the tree and the camper blocks. Complete homework details will be provided in advance to registered workshop participants.

Materials fee: None.

Cost:  $60 for members ($95 for non-members which includes 2023 Guild membership).

Checks should be mailed to Willa Cather (address in your Guild Directory). Your registration is guaranteed upon confirmation of receipt of your payment.

Cancellation policy: Please notify us as early as possible if you need to cancel your workshop registration. Refund of the workshop fee requires a cancellation notification at least 48 hours in advance of the workshop. Fees cannot be refunded for cancellations with less than 48 hours advance notice.
