Embellish Your Knitting
You will learn how to integrate simple basic embroidery stitches to enhance your knitting. Mar Gee will also demonstrate a fancy knotted fringe. She will show you a variety of uses for I-cord, and you will make a tassel.
Cost: $30
HOMEWORK
Make a swatch: Cast on 60 stitches using a dk or worsted yarn in a light-to-medium solid color and an appropriate needle. Work K2 P2 rib for 3 1/2 inches. Then change to stockinette stitch and work another 3 1/2 inches.
If you make two swatches like this, you will be able to turn them into a pair of embellished fingerless gloves/wrist warmers.
